Pin It! About this blog:
Hi, I'm Mary Frances, the baker behind this blog.  Thanks for stopping by!

Now, you might be asking, "What makes this blog different than the other hundreds of cooking blogs out there?"

Well, here, you will find recipes tested and approved by my quality control team (aka my siblings) and the ocassional thought about my day.  I love spending time in the kitchen, experimenting with ingredients and putting my spin on desserts. Disguising strange ingredients is  fun and my goal is always to achieve a dessert that is delicious, but also has something in it that is good for you.  I don't always reach that goal, but to me, sweet and rich is what makes a dessert.  I cook for six younger sets of picky tastebuds and they try and approve nearly everything I bake.

I have a wide variety of recipes.  Like I said above, I 've tried and liked putting  dates and bananas in my brownies, but I will never abandon my forever crowd pleaser that has a stick or two of butter.  I don't believe any ingredient is bad because the key is moderation.  My recipes don't fit any diet plan, they are just what I create in my mind and then experiment with in the kitchen.  All recipes are created by me unless noted in the recipe.  I also believe God gives us passions to bless others.  I have a passion for baking and I hope you can use these recipes I share to bless your family and friends.

Get started with some of my favorites on the blog:
Ultimate Triple Chocolate Brownies
Peanut Butter Banana Bread
The Best Chocolate Pudding

Now that we are done with the blog, lets move on to me . . .

God's grace in my motivation every morning.

Music energizes me (especially Britt Nicole!)

Paper calls my name: Scrapbooking, cardmaking, creative writing, lists, you name it.

I hope to go to England one day.  English accents are my favorite ever!

Seriously, the color blue is awesome.  Not to mention it is one of the Kansas Jayhawk colors.  :)

My goal is always to make you want to try the recipes, so I've had to improve my photography skills.  I enjoy weilding a camera, but I will always volunteer to be on the other side of the camera as well.

I don't like mud.  Occassionally, I'll run through it in crocs with my cousin  in the summer, but other than that, I avoid it.

I love my friends.  I love to talk.  And walking with them is one of my favorite ways to chat with them.
My pet peeve is probably being late.  (Yeah, see how that works when there are seven kids in your family.)

I cannot get enough chocolate.  Ever.

Random Facts:  I could wear princess/formal dresses every day, BUT at home, nothing is better than sweats and a t-shirt ~ I cannot stand beef jerky, BUT I will eat most anything else ~ I'm a die hard Kansas Jayhawk fan, BUT my late grandfather was a defensive coordinator for K State ~ I share my birthday with friends, friends' moms, and Mother Teresa BUT none of siblings even though there are five McNellis brithdays between July 28th and August 27th.
